Richard M. Murray, Colorado Life Fellow, was elected as the Chair of the Colorado Access to Justice Commission (ATJC), which will be effective January 1, 2023.
The Colorado ATJC is made up of twenty Commissioners appointed by the Colorado Supreme Court, the Senate President, the Speaker of the House, the Governor, Colorado Bar Association, Colorado’s statewide legal aid program, and Colorado Legal Services. The Commission’s mission is to develop, coordinate, and implement policy initiatives to expand access to and enhance the quality of justice in civil legal matters for persons who encounter barriers in gaining access to Colorado’s civil justice system.
Mr. Murray is currently a shareholder at Polsinelli PC, out of their Denver office. His practice focuses on commercial and business disputes, and he also assists with cases involving health care and real estate litigation issues. In addition to his involvement with the Colorado ATJC, he also has served in leadership positions for organizations like Continuing Legal Education in Colorado, Inc., University of Colorado Law School’s Law Alumni Board, and the Colorado Bar Association.
