Professor Solangel Maldonado, Fellow, recently released her new book, titled The Architecture of Desire: How the Law Shapes Interracial Intimacy and Perpetuates Inequality. The book examines how the law influences who we choose as intimate partners and explores the psychological, economic, and social effects of these choices.
The book was published by NYU Press in May 2024.
Maldonado is currently the Eleanor Bontecou Professor of Law at Seton Hall University School of Law. She is the co-editor of Family Law: Cases and Materials and Family Law in the World Community: Cases, Materials, and Problems in Comparative and International Family Law.
