Professor Richard J. Sobelsohn, Life Fellow, had an article published in Indiana Law Review, titled “Carbon Emissions and Energy Benchmarking.” The Indiana Law Review’s primary objective is to serve as a resource for legal practitioners, members of the judiciary, legal scholars, and law students.

The article examines various country/regional approaches to reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions in alignment with the Paris Agreement’s goals. Professor Sobelsohn highlights New York and Boston as examples with their Property Assessed Clean Energy finance programs to help owners comply with regulations.
Professor Sobelsohn is Senior Vice President of Legal at Cohen Brothers Realty Corporation in New York, NY. In addition, he is an adjunct professor at Columbia, Cardozo and Fordham Law Schools and a Professor of Practice at Brooklyn Law School.
