Evelyn Smith

Evelyn Smith is a Research Social Scientist at the American Bar Foundation and Postdoctoral Affiliate with Stanford Reglab and the Mansueto Institute at the University of Chicago. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan in 2024, and her B.A. in Economics, summa cum laude, from Georgetown University in 2014. She is an applied microeconomist, and her research focuses on applications of AI to help diagnose and address systemic disparities in tax administration and enforcement.

Evelyn Smith is working with Jacob Goldin on multiple projects, including property tax assessment.
