Research Focus

Examining the intersection of domestic violence and housing instability by analyzing the legal filings of victim-survivors across multiple case types, including civil protection orders (CPOs) and eviction cases. By mapping these cases through data from the Legal Service Corporation’s Civil Court Data Initiative, the study aims to uncover the frequency and demographic patterns of these filings, offering insights into how civil justice systems can better support victim-survivors facing housing insecurity.
