Michele Jochner, Life Fellow, was elected as the Vice-President and President-Elect of SCRIBES – The American Society of Legal Writers. In this role, she will help the lead the organization’s charge in supporting legal writers, enhancing the quality of legal writing, and fostering a strong network of professionals dedicated to the art of legal communication.
Scribes was founded in 1953 and currently has nearly 2,700 members today, with 37 law schools as institutional members. The organization seeks to encourage legal writers to promote excellence in legal writing.
Jochner is currently a partner at Schiller, DuCanto & Fleck and has served as an adjunct professor at both DePaul University College of Law and The John Marshall Law School. She has served both the Chicago Bar Association and Illinois State Bar Association in a variety of roles, such as a member of the Board of Managers for the CBA and Secretary for the ISBA.
