Wisconsin Patron Fellow James J. Casey Jr. has been selected as the Interim Associate Vice President for Research Administration at Florida Gulf Coast University. Professor Casey, who also serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the CUNY Research Administration and Compliance Program and practices privacy and antitrust law, will be enhancing the research administration ecosystem and the overall research infrastructure of the university.
Professor Casey has a breadth of experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses at a wide range of institutions, including the Upper Iowa University Center in Hong Kong. He is also a leader in the field of privacy and data protection. He lends his time to the State Bar of Wisconsin and the ABA, representing Wisconsin on the House of Delegates and helping to lead the Science & Technology Law Section. In 2009, Professor Casey was recognized with the Distinguished Service Award from the National Council of University Research Administrators.
