Hon. Nan Waller, Fellow, was named the 2024 recipient of the Minoru Yasui Justice Award from Oregon Law. Judge Waller was presented with the award during the law school’s Fall Celebration on September 6.
The Minoru Yasui Justice Award is given to an Oregon Law graduate, faculty member, or friend of Oregon Law who is known for their commitment to advancing the cause of justice on behalf of underrepresented communities. The award is named in recognition of Presidential Medal of Freedom winner and Oregon Law Alumnus, Minoru Yasui.
Judge Waller is currently the Mental Health Court Judge for Multnomah County and manages the competency docket for the court. She currently co-chairs the Chief Justice’s Behavioral Health Advisory Council and currently serves on CCJ/COSA Behavioral Health Committee Competency Workgroup.
