Harry William Baumgarten, New York Fellow, had an article published in Notre Dame Law School’s Journal of Legislation. It appears in the first issue of Volume 49 of the Journal of Legislation and is his first ever academic article.
The article is titled “The Case for an Open Bar: Why the Supreme Court Must Establish a Public Bar Membership Roll.” The article explores the Supreme Court Bar’s member disclosure policy and calls for the Court to establish a public roll of all current members of the Supreme Court Bar.
Harry William Baumgarten served as Legislative Director and Counsel to Members of the House of Representatives. He is currently co-chair of the American Bar Association’s Middle East Committee and an opinion contributor to the Hill. Baumgarten’s writings have appeared in the Jerusalem Post, Georgetown Public Policy Review, and elsewhere. He is a member of the New York Bar and the U.S. Supreme Court Bar.
