
Don Slesnick, Patron Fellow, was inducted into the Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ (M-DCPS) Alumni Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame honors alumni for their post-secondary and professional achievements and now has 68 members.
Slesnick was chosen for this honor based on his time as the mayor of the City of Coral Gables from 2001-2011 and his time as the 79th president and chair of the Orange Bowl Committee. He has served the Fellows of the ABF as the 2013-14 Fellows Chair.
He retired from the US Army Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel, served as an Army Reserve Ambassador, and also received the U.S. Army Outstanding Civilian Service Medal. He also served as the President of the College of Labor & Employment Lawyers.
