Dean Johanna Kalb, Fellow, was announced as the the University of San Francisco School of Law’s newest Dean. She will serve as USF School of Law’s 20th dean, after being the first woman to serve as dean of University of Idaho College of Law.
USF School of Law was founded in 1912 and is a private, Jesuit Catholic university. While under her leadership, the University of Idaho law school’s incoming classes grew to be the largest and most diverse in the college’s history.
Prior to Dean Kalb’s time at Idaho, she was the associate dean of administration and special initiatives and Edward J. Womac Jr. Distinguished Professor of Law at Loyola University New Orleans School of Law. Her academic work surrounds constitutional law, international human rights, and the law of democracy.
