Nominate

In order to be considered for membership in the Fellows, one must be nominated by an existing Fellow.

An eligible Fellows nominee is someone who:

  1. has demonstrated extraordinary leadership in the legal profession.
  2. is a current member of the American Bar Association (ABA)*.
  3. is licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction where s/he is being recommended to join.

*US lawyers must be ABA lawyer members; international lawyers may be ABA associate or ABA lawyer members. Fellows staff will verify ABA membership.

Once a nomination has been submitted and eligibility has been verified, the nomination is sent to the Chair(s) of the jurisdiction, the Fellows Officers, and the Board of the American Bar Foundation for review and approval.

If you would like to honor your colleagues with a nomination to be considered for membership in the Fellows, please fill out the form below or download and complete this form and return it to the Fellows office via email or fax.
